Las time we compared friendster and facebook based on their homepage, account page and messages. Now let's compare the process of uploading photos.

In friendster, you can easily see the "upload photo" button on the account page. Whereas, in facebook, you have to go first in the "profile" tab then "photo tab" and click any photo folder and then you can see the a small "add more photo" link. :) Base on this, friendster offers an easy to find "uploading photo" link :)

Friendster "upload pictures" link

Facebook "add more photos" link

Both uses java to upload pictures but I think friendster has the easiest way to upload pictures using java. Because it's more of just browsing pictures. Whereas facebook offers a more noble ways of uploading picture. it's kinda like "exploring" your computer and checking what you like to upload. However, I experience more errors in using java i uploading my pictures in facebook than in friendster.

Facebook Java Photo Uploader

Friendster Java Photo Uploader

Both offer an HTML uploader if you have trouble using java but the difference is you can upload 10 pictures at a time in friendster compare to facebook which you can only upload 5 pictures at a time. :)

Facebook HTML Uploader

Friendster HTML Uploader

Base of the speed in uploading pictures, I think facebook is faster.

Overall. Friendster is much better in uploading picture though its a bit slower than facebook and it also has limited number of pictures you can upload. :)

Around 11am this morning, I had lunch with my baby at Chef de Angelo. Because he wanted to prove to me that their burger was as big as the Wham Burger. We didn't just order their classic burger but also I ordered their Sampler 1 and he tried their Beer Sausage Meal.

Let's start with my Sampler 1. The Sampler 1 consisted of Italian style spaghetti, breast part chicken and a slice of Hawaiian Pizza. It would cost you 138 pesos for this. The spaghetti was too sour for me. This was not my first time to eat at de Angelo but this time the spaghetti was too sour. The chicken was the same as before. It's kinda similar to those chicken in Shakey's. The pizza was a bit tough. I had a hard time bitting it. :)

Sampler 1

My baby let me try the Beer Sausage Meal which came with a cup or rice and a cup of softdrink. My baby told me that it was spicy but when I tried it, it wasn't. There's nothing special with this sausage, it actually tasted like a regular hotdog. :)

Beer Sausage Meal

I only ate half of the classic burger. But my baby was wrong to tell me that it was similar to Wham! Wham Burger was much bigger than their burger. Wham Burger was also much better in taste. :) I think De Angelo's didn't bother to make their burger tasted good. :)

Wham! Burger in Robinson's Place

Yesterday, I had dinner with my baby at Wham! Burger. I had a Kapow Burger, fries and my baby ordered Double Whammy with Cheese and Chicken Little.

Two Four Seasons Juice, Double Whammy with Cheese, Kapow, Chicken Little and the Country Side Fries with Barbecue Sauce

The service was ok. We didn't really wait for a very long time though it could be improved.

Let's start with the Kapow. This burger was good. It was juicy and the patty was really big. The spicies in the burger was a little sour but it still tasted good. It wasn't that spicy and I still put more hot sauce to make it more spicy. I had a hard time finishing this burger because it was so big. The burger really looked grilled and the veggies they used in the burger were fresh.

Next, the Country Style Fries, I was not sure if the country-side fries tasted like this but for me it tasted more like sweet potato.:) Almost similar to the fries in Max's :) I really didn't like it much. I should have ordered their other fries. :)

Country Style Fries

I didn't really try the Double Whammy Burger with Cheese but I think, it tasted good. The patties were really big and my baby wasn't able to finish it. He only ate half of it. He even showed me how juicy it was when he squished it. :) Even after he finished half of it, he was already full. :)

The Chicken Little was not so different with the regular nuggets except that it was a little thinner than the other nuggets. It didn't have any special taste.

Maybe out of 10...it's 7 for me....

One month ago I saw this internet-coffee shop near my work place. It caught my attention because of it's logo. It is really similar to Starbucks logo. It's name was Dos Para

As you can see, the color of the mermaid was just inverted and they added the letter "A" and "N" However, the color of the ring is also green and the font is the same. Even the 2 stars are the same.
Dos Para is located at Del Carmen street, 2 blocks from Taft Avenue and 2 minutes walk from the nearest Starbucks. :)

KFC's Flavor Shots at KFC Morayta

Last Saturday morning, I had breakfast with my baby in KFC. Together with Original Chicken Burger meal, I also had the New Flavor Shots. At first, it tasted good. It has this sweetness and no so spicy taste with it. However, as you continue eating it, you could compare the sauce with Jufran Hot Chili Sauce and you'll get tired eating it. It's also kinda expensive if your gonna take into consideration its taste. Moreover. It's also a bit tough which if you had problems with your teeth, this is not the chicken for you.

Mocha Frappuccino inside a taxi :)

Last Friday, I went to Starbucks to buy Mocha Frap. I was right. Mocha Frap is a little different from Coffee Bean's Mocha Ice Blend. It's sweeter than Coffee Bean. It has chocolate syrup unlike Coffee Bean which I think why it's sweeter. It's cheaper that Coffee Bean. A tall size of these could cost you 125 pesos. Frappucino has more sizes that Ice Blends. Other than that, the taste was almost the same. One good thing about Starbucks is that the service was faster compared to Coffee Bean. :)

Cheesecake Cafe in Mall of Asia

Last Friday, before I went back home, my baby and I visited Cheese cake cafe to buy my mom some slices of cheese cake. A slice of their cheese cake ranges from a hundred and above. I wasn't able to taste the Oreo cheese cake but I've tried there blueberry cheese cake. Maybe a slice of it is good but I wouldn't ask for another slice. Maybe there are really food which is good in small amount. You could really taste the blueberry in it but the cheese, not so. :)

Quickly in Mall of Asia

Are you thirsty? why don't you try Quickly's Shake? Maybe the difference between Quickly's Shake with other shakes was that they have a lot of additional ingredient inside. Zagu has pearls and crystals whereas Quickly has more than that. Though it's not really natural mango shake, like Frutas, its in powder form, you can still enjoy its citrus taste.

Yellow Cab in Mall of Asia

Last friday, I went to Yellow Cab with my baby in MOA. We ordered there New York's Finest and Spicy chicken wings. I really love Yellow Cab Pizza though a lot of people are saying that their pizza are so oily. The New York's Finest is a pizza with all your favorite toppings. It was so good that I wanted to take home some slices. :) I couldn't remember all the toppings on the top of it but all of them tasted really good. Putting hot sauce could also be a good idea to enjoy your New York Finest. On the hand, we have the Spicy Chicken Wings. It was really affordable. For just 90 pesos, you could get 4 big pieces of chicken wings. In term of its taste, it wasn't that different from other chicken but you can still enjoy it even when it's not already hot. :)

Last friday, I had lunch in Tropical Hut with my friend, Bheng. At first, I didn't know what to order but afterwards, I decided to have there classic burger and spaghetti. The classic burger was nice. It's big and there's a lot of ingredients inside unlike other burger, though it will cost you 110 pesos a meal which include a drink and fries. It was really nice with hot sause but not with ketchup, maybe because their ketchup was so sour which I don't like. I think it would be better if they'll have a spicy version of these burger so putting hot sauce would not be necessary. :) The spaghetti, on the other hand, was not so good. It's sweet..so sweet maybe which I don't really like. But I think other Filipino would like it. They could have put more flavor to it and more ingredients because it looked like just tomato sauce. Overall, the burger was great but the spaghetti and keptchup were not so good. :)

McDonald's Twister Fries

Last Friday, I went our with my friend, Bheng, to eat lunch in McDonald's. One menu that attracted my eyes was the reintroduce Twister Fries. Before, I actually wanted to try it but, I didn't have the chance to do it. But last Friday, Bheng was going to treat me, so I told myself why not ordered it... it's going to be free anyways. :) However, I still paid for the twister fries :P...Ok! So what do I think of the Twister Fries? here are some of my opinions
  1. The looks of the fries was mouthwatering. Kinda different from the regular fries. It's twisted, maybe that's why it's called twister fries...hehehehe...
  2. The taste was different from the regular fries. They didn't just twist the fries but, I think they added some spices too.
  3. It's tougher than regular fries. Kinda hard compare to regular fries.
  4. It tasted good however, you may not want to finish it all.:)

Last Friday, I watched one of the best movie of 2009 "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra". I saw the movie with my baby.

I'm not so familiar with the cast, However, I know some of them like the guy from Step Up...:) Sorry, I'm really bad in remembering actors' name. :) The whole cast acted so well especially the guy whose face was covered.:) Though he didn't say anything, he really did his part well. The cast are really perfect for the roles. There is also a special participation f Brendan...aaahhh...the guy from "The Mummy" :) Though he was just an extra, it was a nice addition to the cast.

There were also a lot of action scenes. I think more than "Transformers 2" :) I really like the chasing scene in the streets of Paris. That one is a must see! The fight scene in the Joe Headquarter was also great! The stunts, the bike ride, the fight scene! You don't wanna take your eyes from the screen. If I'm gonna rate the movies of 2009 base on special effects, heart stopping scenes and fight scenes. I would say it would be number 1! followed by Transformers 2 then Harry Potter and last, Night at the Museum 2. :)

Your payment for the ticket is really worthy. It would be really nice to watch it in the big screen. :)

I saw this in YouTube and I think, Bon Jovi never fails to give good versions of songs. I really like it. The husky voice, the looks (even he's kinda old now) and how he blends his voice with other singers.

A lot of Filipinos now are hook between facebook and friendster. This two are the most famous social networks nowadays in the Philippines. Both of them made the Filipino, especially the young ones, to let the cyberworld be part of their lives. :) I have known friendster since I was in college. It has been famous since then. I think, almost all of the students in our class had friendster account. Whereas, facebook, has just been famous nowadays. Some people still are adjusting to the new facebook like my supervisor. :) She even said that friendster is easier to use. :) In this blog, let's compare friendster and facebook. Which do you think is really easier to use? :)

The Homepage

FaceBook Home Page

Friendster Home Page

Both websites have an easy to use log in part. Both of them uses email as a log in detail. They also have the "register" area for those netizens who are not yet signed in the said websites. They also have different language settings for those other countries who might not really at ease in using English. However, there are more languages offer by Facebook than Friendster, though you have to click the ">>" for extra languages. Another difference between the two websites is the search botton. Friendster has the search bottom for both the different accounts in the site and you can also changed that to search the web. You cannot easily find it in the homepage of facebook because it's located on the lower part of the homepage. You can also have a glance of the different blogs in Facebook through its homepage unlike friendster. You can also find the help and advertising button in both website. However, career button is only present in facebook which offer jobs in facebook.

In this part, facebook wins because they offer more things in there home page though I will give credit to friendster for making the "search" button more convenient and accessible to its users.

The Account Page

Facebook Account Page

Friendster Account Page

Both websites offer a notification area. However, as you can see, Friendster has an easy-to-find notification area. Whereas, facebook only has some notification on different requests unlike friendster which offer more than that like messages, bulletins and others. One thing that friendster doesn't have is the suggestion part which is below the request notification area in facebook. Both sites offer current network activities. Though in facebook, it's on the right side which you might not be interested to read unlike in friendster, which is easily seen. However, facebook, also offers the "wall" part which shows the current status of your friends, which is a nice addition. One good thing about friendster is the "tool" which is not present in the account page in facebook. You can easily edit whatever part of your page just by clicking the tools in the "my tools" part. :) Another thing that is really good about friendster is the "who view me" link. It shows the different people who viewed your account which I think not offer by most social network sites. :) Moreover, facebook doesn't offer an easy access to the list of your friends, unlike friendster which doesn't just give easy access but also to your 6 featured friends. :)

On this area, Friendster wins, though facebook has a better design. It's kinda like more professional looking than friendster. :)

Messages

Friendster's Inbox

Friendster's Sample Message

Facebook's Inbox

Facebook's sample Message

In terms of messaging, facebook is better. Messages are segregated according to the sender which is good because you will not have difficulties retrieving old messages if you suddenly forget the last message the sender sent you.

Only the homepage, account page and inbox are compared in this blog. More evaluation will be made as soon as possible

Fron Cover

Back Cover

The first famous book written by Bob Ong. I think this was introduced when I was still in college. :) That time, I was able to read it, but because my baby gave me the whole set of Bob Ong's book. I kinda felt like reading it again.

Maybe those people who have studied in public school can relate to this book. It shows a lot of common things in a government school. He told the story in a very funny way, from elementary to highschool. However, when he talked about his college life, it turned out to be very serious. You can also read in this book how life can be twisted by destiny. It also shows the importance of education though sometimes, it shows the bad thing about public school.

This book is a very inspiring one told in a very funny way. You can really feel the authors view towards life. It's not all about having a good laugh but learning from it. :)

I kinda fell in love with the book because of how the author shared his thoughts. True but not serious. He also knows how to divert the reader's feeling from being touched by it to having fun. I love the way it was written, the font used and the sequence of events. You don't want to miss the last part! :)

I just hope, they publish an English version of it, so, not only Filipino can enjoy it. Though I'm not sure if they can get the humor. :)
